Our Programme
CitySwim has been operating in Wellington since 2008, primarily at Freyberg Pool on Oriental Parade. The programme was comprehensive but could only cater to a limited number of children, due to the lack of pool space available in Wellington at peak times.
With the development of the new pool (the Aquadome) we are now able to extend the number of lessons and options to cater to the increasing demand for quality learn to swim.
We offer a structured programme designed to teach children the basic skills and techniques to swim well. It will allow the child to progress, through a step-by-step process, from first strokes, in the learn to swim pool, to competent swimming in the 25m pool alongside. The important aspect of this programme is that the child can make that transition when they are ready, in the same location, and feel confident about doing so.
